Blogging about blogs and human behavior
But in the last online issue, Metropolis featured a few websites that have broken into my top favorites folder of websites. I'm not big for sitting and reading a lot, or searching all over the place for news, information, or stories. So when I can get a bunch in a "one-stop-shop", I love it. And I have to love it for this blog to see if I can change this new-to-me website. love-lines
And just because I haven't read the ideas behind these other sites, I'm just going to list them and check them out. But here's the big idea first...
Lovelines is an exploration of human desire.
Through large scale blog analysis, Lovelines illuminates the topography of the emotional landscape between love and hate, as experienced by countless normal humans keeping personal online journals.
and...Process.
Every hour, 10x10 scans the RSS feeds of several leading international news sources, and performs an elaborate process of weighted linguistic analysis on the text contained in their top news stories. After this process, conclusions are automatically drawn about the hour's most important words. The top 100 words are chosen, along with 100 corresponding images, culled from the source news stories. At the end of each day, month, and year, 10x10 looks back through its archives to conclude the top 100 words for the given time period. In this way, a constantly evolving record of our world is formed, based on prominent world events, without any human input.
and...Phylotaxis is an exploration of the space where science meets culture.
Its structure, derived from the Fibonacci Sequence and closely related to the Golden Ratio, is one of nature's most elegant. The Fibonacci Sequence is the set of numbers where each number is the sum of the previous two numbers. This simple sequence governs phenomena as diverse as the petal arrangement of roses, the breeding patterns of rabbits, and the shape of our galaxy. It is also evident in the design of the Great Pyramids, the composition of the Mona Lisa, and the construction of Stradivarius violins.
Cool? kind of interesting? do you love it?

Looking back.
So here's a new thing I've been thinking about lately...
- Is it possible to keep up with everyone who has come through our life? Are we allowed to just drop back in on them every couple/few/ten years? Maybe that's where the reunions come in. I hope HEHS class of '97 is having one.

The Superbowl Shuffle is back!
Passin the ball, it ain't complex
Cannon for an arm, wheels for feet
Leadin' the way, ain't no way we can be beat
Ron Turner lets me do what I like
You better be ready when I say "hike"
You bet your ass, we'll convert third downs
Superbowl Shuffle, second time around
My last name is Vasher, AKA ESPN3
Across the league, every offense is scared of me
I'll pick off Brett Favre and run it back
Besides Charles Tillman, I'm the illest cornerback
Doin' my part in Lovie's cover two
Stopping opponents, and entertainin' you
Every Sunday I'm ready to rumble
Goin' out to do the Superbowl Shuffle
Heart of the defence, my name is Brian Urlacher
Best playa' in the league at middle linebacker
My highlight reel would make grown men weep
When I take a nap I get sacks in my sleep
Fastest on the field, I weigh 258
The associated press thinks I'm kinda great
Bringin' offensive coordinatiors lots of trouble
I'm a big part of this Superbowl Shuffle
Adewale Ogungleye, a goofy ass name
Sackin' the Q, bringing the pain
Brought from Miami, traded for Marty Booker
Celebratin' victories with a bunch of hookers
Terrorisin' tackles, offendin' O-lines
Unlike Ricky Jr, commitin' no crimes
This dynasty is never gonna crumble
especially after this superbowl shuffle
Olin Kreutz, I'll break your jaw
Ask Fred Miller, I'm 100% raw
Pushin' defenses, making pro-bowls
Protectin' Rex, and openin' up holes
Thomas Jones will run for 2000 yards
With me paving the way, it won't be hard
I'm one of the unsung heros
A Superbowl Shuffle, 19-0
I like to go deep, I'm called B twice
Fast as hell, hands like glue
The pill stickin' to my hand? It sure as hell do
Rex loves to throw the ball my way
Scoring TDs, making fans yell "yay!"
Like a pig sniffin' out truffles
Beatin' corners for a Superbowl Shuffle
After a 3 and out, they're forced to punt
Who do they call to get us out of this rut?
You're god damn right, your main man Hester
Bringin' some style, there ain't none better
Drafted out of the U, From Miami I hailed
Played with a bunch of thugs, who should be in jail
But thank the lord, I stayed out of trouble
Now I get to do the Superbowl Shuffle
The Bears winning games, ain't nothin' new
Thomas Jones, give me the call
My style of runnin', balls to tha wall
I got the vision, I got the moves
Now I'm doin' some rappin, laying down grooves
Pushin myself hard, showing lots of hustle
On our way with the Superbowl Shuffle
I make a catch and they yell out MOOOOSE
I go all out after Lovie cuts me loose
I didn't do so well when I broke my hand
But its all healed so watch out, man
Our high powered offense puttin' up points
Hard nosed D, breakin' they joints
Every team is gonna get tampled
On our way to a Superbowl Shuffle

What a weekend.
Here's another little secret I've been trying to share with everyone I know. myHERITAGE just rocks and you need to try it out. Be sure to have an image of yourself. Prefereably a straight on shot.
Super busy at work. Wish I had something online to share with everyone.
I leave you with the infinite wisdom of Mr. Dane Cook.
